MBK BUYING PROCESS:
Everything you need to know about purchasing a puppy.
CHOOSE YOUR PUP.
Monster Bully Kennels offers 2 different ways for purchasing a puppy: "Buy Now" or "Pick System".
The Buy Now system is just as it sounds. A puppy may be placed on our website with a price. You pay the price, and you get the puppy. These are puppies that are over 7 weeks old, and are ready to go home immediately. SIMPLE!
The Pick System is designed for those who are interested in adopting a puppy from a litter that is not yet old enough to go home. Here's how it works:
Suppose there's a litter of ten puppies, and you can choose which spot in line you'd like to be in. The spots are separated by gender, and the first spot is the most expensive, followed by the second spot, and so on. Once the puppies reach seven weeks of age, the picking process begins. The person with the first pick can select any puppy they want from the litter, and that puppy becomes theirs. Then it goes to the person with the second pick, who can choose any remaining puppy they prefer. This process continues until all the puppies have been selected. If a particular pick hasn't been sold by the time the puppies reach seven weeks of age, MBK will make the selection for that spot.
It's important to note that MBK has a total of five locations across the United States: four in the Pacific Northwest and one on the East Coast in central Pennsylvania.
CONTRACT & DEPOSIT.
The contract and deposit step is the first step to you owning your very own MBK puppy. This process is simple. We send you a generic contract that protects both you (The Buyer) and MBK (The Seller). It is very easy to read, and explains everything in black and white, so everyone is "on the same page".
But in order to "lock your pick", you will also need to send a small deposit. This deposit allows MBK to place your name for the puppy or the pick, making it impossible for anyone else to get that puppy or pick from you. MBK will not hold a puppy or pick without a deposit!
TIME TO PAY.
PUPPY EXAMINATIONS
Now your puppy is 7 weeks old, and it is time for their checkup/examination and first set of shots! Each puppy is seen by our amazing vet, Dr. Weber. Weber is one of the most well-known vets in our area, and he specializes in our breed - He even owns an American Bully himself!
Each puppy is closely examined, and among the things we look at are: Coat and Skin, Eyes/Eyelids, Ears, Nose & Throat, Dental/Bites, Orthopedic Development, Heart, Abdomen, Lungs, Gastrointestinal System, Urogenital System, Weight and any other physical or cosmetic defects.
Each puppy will also get their first DAPP set of shots, for vaccination of healthy dogs 6 weeks of age or older against canine distemper virus (CDV), canine adenovirus type 1 (CAV1), canine adenovirus type 2 (CAV2), canine parainfluenza virus (CPiV), canine parvovirus (CPV), and canine parvovirus type 2c (CPV2c).
Each puppy comes with a full report from our license veterinarian, signed and certified. You will get the ORIGINAL (not a copy), that you can show your veterinarian. NEVER BUY A PUPPY THAT DOES NOT COME WITH THE ORIGINAL HEALTH CERTIFICATE!
PUPPY PICKING TIME!
You've waited all of this time, and now it is really happening! The puppy is slightly over 7 weeks old at this point, and you've been given a ton of information to help you make the very best decision. And if you feel like you still haven't gotten enough information, then that is OK! We are here to provide you with even more! We want to do everything we can to make sure we match you up with the best possible puppy for you and your home. So do not be afraid to ask as many questions as possible!
We are very active in regards to going live with our puppies. This allows you to see how they interact in different environments, and with other people and animals. We invite you to come chat with us while we go live and ask questions. Get to know the litter!
A lot of the time, we will do our puppy picks LIVE on Instagram. This allows for a really fun experience that no other breeder does! You get to be in the chatroom with all of the other buyers and a ton of our followers. You can interact with everyone, and they will be happy to give your their opinions and advice. This is a great time for you to ask us questions as well. Maybe you want to compare 2 side by side? Maybe you want to see how a puppy reacts in a certain situation? Or maybe you just want to ask us our opinions... No matter what it is, we make this a super fun experience for everyone involved.
The process is simple: We start with the person who has the first pick. They get to choose whatever puppy they want. After they choose, that puppy is theirs. Then we go to the person with the second pick, and so on and so on. Please refer to the "CHOOSE YOUR PUP" section at the top of the page for a more thorough explanation of how this works.
Every once in a while, we cannot go live due to certain issues. In that case, we will be contacting you directly and can go live privately with you. We will bend over backwards to make this an easy but comfortable process.
TIME TO GO HOME!
We offer 2 different options for you to get your puppy. You can either come directly to us and pick him/her up, or you can use our incredible flight nanny to hand-deliver the puppy to you.
First of all, MBK will never allow ground transportation. This is extremely traumatizing to the puppy, and puts it in a much higher risk of getting sick. Ground transportation takes a much longer time for the puppy to arrive, and it is stuck in a crate the whole time. Most of the time, the ground transporter is also transporting other dogs at the same time. We cannot possibly know if those other dogs are vaccinated, or not sick. We've literally given people their money back because they refused to use any other service other than a ground transporter. The puppies well-being is more important to us, and we will not allow it under any circumstances.
If you choose to pick the puppy up from us, then it is a very simple process. We will work with you to determine the best date and time. You are more than welcome to come to our facility, hang out with us, see the bigger dogs and pick your puppy up. But be warned: Taking a puppy on a plane is not such an easy process any longer. A lot of the airlines have made it harder for you to carry a puppy in the cabin of the plane. MBK has no experience with this, and can offer no advice. This is why we HIGHLY recommend using our flight nanny service. We do allow you to drive back home if you wish, knowing that the puppy is in your arms and under your care without other random dogs and animals being involved.
Flight Nanny: This is the preferred transportation option. Our incredible flight nanny will pick up the puppy directly from us. They will then bring the puppy onto the plane with them, in the cabin. The puppy will stay by the flight nanny the whole time, never leaving their side. The flight nanny will take photos and communicate with you through-out the whole process. The flight nanny will fly directly to you, and meet you at your local airport, where they will hand-deliver the puppy directly into your arms. Most of the time, this service is CHEAPER than you paying for a ticket to here and back, and they have NEVER had 1 issue in delivering our puppies to their new homes. Pricing for this service is dependent on where the puppy is coming from, and where it is going.
No matter how you choose to have your puppy delivered, it will always come with a "goody bag" full of toys, a leash, collar, snacks, food, bowls and more. It will also contain the registration paperwork, full vet examination and shot records.
- Please note that ABKC is currently back-logged on their registrations. It is taking them upwards of 12 weeks sometimes to get the papers back to us.
